Symptoms such as pain in the chest, spreading pain to the limbs, nausea, irregular or fast heart beat and paleness are signs of a heart attack.

It is very important to know the signs and symptoms of a heart attack. Oftentimes, heart attack victims only have a limited amount of time to seek emergency help while in the process of having an attack. Postponing emergency help for a heart attack can potentially cause irreversible heart damage.

Symptoms of a Heart Attack in Both Men and Women

Some heart attacks are sudden with intense pain. However, "most heart attacks start slowly, with mild pain or discomfort. Often people affected aren't sure what's wrong and wait too long before getting help." (HealthCenter.com)

Heart attacks that occur in men are traditionally more dramatic and intense without a lot of warning signs. On the other hand, heart attacks that occur in women tend to be less intense and start off with subtle warning signs. Often times women are diagnosed incorrectly when they seek medical attention for a heart attack.

In men, heart attacks can start with a forceful amount of pressure, in the middle of the chest, that lasts for more than a few minutes. The pressure can span out throughout the entire chest and may be accompanied by pain. In some, the pain may be excruciating or it can be just a simple tingling sensation that spreads out to the arms and legs or to the neck and shoulders. The feeling of being lightheaded and dizzy accompanied with chest pain may also be a sign of a heart attack.

According to healthcenter.com, heart attacks in women may start with continuous nausea or vomiting that does not lessen; breathlessness in the middle of the night or with any exertion; chest discomfort that spreads to either of the arms and/or lower jaw; any discomfort in the lower jaw, chest or upper back that may start with exertion and does not cease afterward; sudden loss of energy; sudden increase in heart beat with an increase in blood pressure; and sudden unconsciousness.

If a heart attack is suspected it is extremely important to seek emergency help.

Cayenne Tincture Saves Lives

A life-saving tincture that can help prevent death and brain damage from heart attacks is cayenne pepper tincture. Cayenne has the ability to stop heart attacks within 30 seconds, according to Shirleys-wellness-cafe.com.

According to Healingtools.tripod.com, cayenne tincture should be administered directly into the mouth by those who are suffering from a heart attack or stroke, whether unconscious or conscious. To those that are conscious, one to three drops of cayenne tincture should be applied directly into the mouth, while a heart attack victim who is unconscious requires five to ten drops applied immediately in the mouth.

Cayenne tincture is not meant to replace emergency help that is required when having a heart attack or a stroke. It is meant to be used as a tool to increase oxygen and blood flow until emergency help can arrive. In some areas such as small towns in Missouri, emergency help can take up to a half an hour to arrive. If someone were to have a heart attack, half an hour without emergency help can possibly cause irrepairable brain and heart damage.

This article is totally irresponsible. You're recommending that people administer a cayenne tincture to an unconscious heart attack victim because "Healingtools.tripod.com" says so? That is ridiculous. No where in this article does it say to call 9-1-1, which is the very first thing you should do. Is there no editing/moderation of Suite 101's medical articles at all?

I do not think that cayenne tincture should replace emergency help, but in the mean time of emergency help arriving.. cayenne tincture can help..
